This was one of Blackstone Constructions first major endeavors. A complete renovation with just about everything being altered or replaced. We replaced the roof with 30 year architectural shingles, removed and replaced all doors and windows. The basement was excavated, new weeping tile was added, crush stone replaced the original, less permeable material. The basement walls were cleaned with a wire brush, cracks were identified and chiseled out and filled with hydrolic cement and then tarred. The entire exterior walls were covered with blueskin and blueskin protector. Porch area was insulated and interior walls were sheathed with picwic pine. All pine trim was added with vinyl floors and white MDF baseboard. Attic was insulated with blown in cellulose insulation. New cupboards ans counter tops were added along with a new island. The stone chimney was removed and replaced with a new window and a heat pump. The exterior was finished with cedar shingles.
